The classic shop is decorated as an ode to its flagship, with stainless-steel-framed glass display cases and ever-changing vitrines nestled under trademark Tiffany-blue awnings.

Strand Book Store, just off Union Square, has some 18 miles of 2 million new and used books, at 50% off cover prices.

This New York treasure has been open since 1927, it sells every kind of book imaginable, from novels to memoirs to art books to historical tomes.

For the true book aficionado, a rare book collection in a connected building contains even some favorite dusty first editions.

Macy's

Located on bustling 34th Street, the world's largest department store can seem like a universe all its own. With over a million square feet of space for merchandise, the ten floors offer practically everything you could want—cosmetics and fragrance, handbags, ties, shoes and much more—attracting thousands of tourists and locals who pass through its revolving doors daily.
